NEW DELHI, Oct. 22 (Xinhua) -- A portion of helipad tarmac sank Wednesday minutes after a helicopter carrying Indian President Droupadi Murmu landed on it in the southern state of Kerala, local media reported. The helipad surface slightly caved in under the weight of the helicopter at Pramadam Stadium in Poomkavu of Alappuzha district, about 161 km north of Thiruvananthapuram, the capital city of Kerala. No injuries to anyone or damage to the helicopter were reported, and the president continued her planned visit. Television footage aired on news channels showed security personnel, including police and fire service officials, manually pushing and moving the helicopter to a safe portion. ■
