Sale of platform tickets suspended at A'bad, Sabarmati stations | Ahmedabad News - The Times of India

Ahmedabad: Anticipating rush for Diwali and Chhath festivals, Western Railway has temporarily suspended sale of platform tickets at Ahmedabad and Sabarmati stations. This measure, aimed at managing the expected surge in passenger traffic, came into effect on Thursday and will remain in place till Oct 27.Railway authorities stated that the decision is part of a strategic plan to ensure passenger safety, convenience, and smooth transit during one of the busiest travel times of the year. By limiting access to platforms, the authorities aim to create a more secure and comfortable environment for those travelling during the festive season, the officials said in the statement.
