Kota: A special unit of the Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) arrested a patwari posted at the Sub-Tehsil office in Khatoli Wednesday for allegedly accepting a bribe of Rs 45,000.The accused, Pradhan Chaudhary, had demanded a total of Rs 50,000 from a farmer for the measurement of a plot of agricultural land, officials said. The farmer approached the ACB special unit in Sept after paying him Rs 5,000 as an initial payment and lodged a formal complaint.Additional superintendent of police, ACB special unit, Mukul Sharma, said Pradhan was arrested from his office soon after receiving the remaining Rs 45,000, which was recovered from his possession.The accused has been booked under relevant sections of the Anti-Corruption Act, and his interrogation remains ongoing.
