New Delhi, Jan 13: Prime Minister Narendra Modi today welcomed the newly signed Haj agreement with Saudi Arabia, which establishes a quota of 175,025 pilgrims from India for Haj 2025. The agreement was finalised by Minister of Minority Affairs Kiren Rijiju during discussions with H E Tawfiq Bin Fawzan Al-Rabiah, the Saudi Minister for Hajj and Umrah, in Jeddah. In a post on X, Rijiju said: "Haj Agreement 2025 signed with Tawfiq Bin Fawzan Al-Rabiah, Minister for Hajj and Umrah of Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. Finalized a quota of 1,75,025 pilgrims from India for #Haj2025. We are committed to providing the best possible services to all our Haj pilgrims." MUMBAI: RBI on Friday issued revised norms for loans backed by gold and silver, aimed at widening credit access for small borrowers and standardising regulations across banks and NBFCs. The new rules will come into force from April 1, 2026.Under the revised framework, loan-to-value (LTV) ratio for smaller consumption loans has been increased.
