Kanpur: Two fire incidents were reported from the city since late Tuesday night. On Wednesday at 7:30 am, fire broke out in a building located at Goldie House, Nayaganj which was immediately brought under control by the fire service team, led by FSO Latouche Road. The team doused the flames in a hall inside the building by using two hose pipes drawing water from Nayaganj Metro station before returning to Latouche Road. No casualties were reported in the incident.A massive fire broke out late Tuesday night at a dona-pattal manufacturing factory located in Barauli village near Bilhaur town. By the time the watchman could inform the fire department, the fire had taken a fierce form and the entire factory was engulfed in flames, causing heavy damage to raw materials and finished goods worth lakhs of rupees stored in the factory. Six fire tenders reached the spot shortly after receiving the information and brought the fire under control after several hours of efforts. It is noteworthy that a fire incident had occurred at the same factory about five years ago. The cause of the fire is being investigated.
