Vadodara: A fire broke out in the kitchen of Noorapura village primary school in Ghoghamba taluka of Panchmahal district late on Tuesday afternoon. Firemen rushed to the school from Halol town to fight the blaze. The fire is attributed to a leak from an LPG cylinder occurring while food for students was being cooked on two large stoves. About 75 students were taking their exams in the school when the fire occurred, but the exams were not disturbed. The Halol fire brigade was informed even as those working in the kitchen used fire extinguishers to fight the fire. The cylinder and stoves were taken to an open space later by fire brigade personnel.
