Jodhpur: Ten days after his arrest and transfer to Jodhpur Central Jail, climate activist and Ladakh protest leader Sonam Wangchuk's wife, Geetanjali Angmo, visited her husband in captivity Tuesday night and finally obtained his detention order.Earlier on Monday, in response to a habeas corpus petition filed by Angmo, the Supreme Court had asked the Centre why she was not given notice of the grounds of her husband's detention under the stringent National Security Act (NSA) following violent clashes in Ladakh. The petition is slated for hearing on Oct 14. Taking to X after the visit, Angmo posted, "...got the detention order, which we will challenge. His spirit is undaunted. His commitment resolute! New Delhi: The Supreme Court on Tuesday said the Karnataka government and the Centre should resolve the issue in connection with the release of financial assistance from the National Disaster Response Fund (NDRF) to the state for drought management.
