New Delhi, Oct 6 (Prensa Latina) Indian Minister of Commerce and Industry Piyush Goyal traveled to Doha to co-chair the meeting with Sheikh Faisal bin Thani bin Faisal Al Thani, his Qatari counterpart, on trade and to discuss new actions to boost bilateral trade. Goyal's visit underscores the importance India places on its trade and investment ties with Qatar, one of the most important trading partners in the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC), with bilateral trade estimated at more than US$14 billion in 2024-2025, according to New Delhi. The two sides are expected to hold extensive discussions to analyze bilateral trade performance, address existing trade barriers and non-tariff issues, and explore avenues to improve trade and investment flows.
