Pune, October 3, 2025: The Pune Traffic Department has issued an important advisory for commuters due to ongoing maintenance work on MG Road. Traffic on certain stretches will be temporarily closed from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM today, October 3, 2025. Motorists are advised to follow alternate routes and cooperate with traffic authorities to avoid congestion. Road Closures and Traffic Diversions. Indira Gandhi Chowk → Mahavir Chowk: Traffic will be diverted via Ambedkar Statue route. The road from Ambedkar Chowk to Indira Gandhi Chowk will remain open for two-way traffic during this period. Central Street Chowk → Mahavir Chowk: Vehicles will be rerouted via Sarbatwala Chowk to continue their journey. Bhopale Chowk → Kohinoor Chowk: Traffic will be diverted towards Shivaji Market. George Hotel Chowk → NAZ Chowk: Motorists are advised to take a left turn at Indira Gandhi Chowk to reach their desired destination. Commuters are urged to plan their travel in advance and use the suggested alternate routes to minimize delays. The Pune Traffic Police request the cooperation of citizens during this temporary disruption.
