Hyderabad, Oct 1 (UNI) The Commissioner of Police, Hyderabad City, V C Sajjanar, participated in a free wheelchair distribution programme for persons with disabilities at the Integrated Command and Control Centre (ICCC), Banjara Hills, on Wednesday. The programme was jointly organised by Vikalaangula Network, Freedom Association, Triple R Foundation and NAMC Trust. As chief guest, Commissioner Sajjanar personally distributed wheelchairs to beneficiaries. Speaking on the occasion, Sajjanar said he was delighted to begin his tenure by taking part in a meaningful social service initiative. "It is our collective responsibility to stand by the vulnerable sections of society, especially persons with disabilities. Beyond maintaining law and order, the police will always be at the forefront of serving people with a humanitarian approach," he said. He also assured continued support from Hyderabad City Police for similar social initiatives.
