VARANASI: In a bizarre incident, a 75-year-old elderly man, who married a 40-year-old widow and mother of three children on Monday, died on Tuesday morning following a sharp deterioration in his health condition in Kuchhmuchh village under Gaurabadshahpur police station area of Jaunpur district.On the arrival of his nephew Ravi from Delhi on Wednesday morning, police sent his body for postmortem to clarify the cause of his death, said Gaurabadshahpur police station in-charge Pravin Kumar Yadav. He mentioned that Ravi had not made any allegations, but everybody wanted to be satisfied that no mishap had taken place with the deceased, Sangru (75). The future course of action will be decided upon the arrival of the postmortem report.During the initial police investigation, it came to light that Sangru, a Kuchhmuchh village native, was initially married to Anari, who died at the age of 65 a few years ago. The couple had no children. As Sangru's brother and nephews lived in cities like Delhi to earn a livelihood and nobody was present in his home to take care of him, locals and relatives advised Sangru to marry a woman.The villagers also helped in searching for a bride for him. After meeting Manbhavati (40), a resident of Baija Rampur under Kotwali police station area of Jaunpur district, whose husband died 7 years ago, and who has a daughter, two daughters Anjali, and a son Shiva from her first husband, he decided to marry. He convinced Manbhavati by assuring her that he would take care of her and her children, as he owned two bigha of land, a house, and had sufficient savings.Following these developments and considering the auspicious festival of Navratri, Monday was chosen for their wedding. In the presence of relatives and villagers, Sangru tied the nuptial knot with Manbhavati in a temple. The video of him putting vermillion on her forehead and blessing her remained viral on social media.After making her his life partner, Sangru brought Manbhavati to his home with her daughters and son in Kuchhmuchh. At night, the husband and wife rested in a room until late. Later, he went to sleep on a cot outside his residence. However, on Tuesday morning, Sangru's health condition deteriorated sharply, and his neighbours rushed him to a local hospital, where doctors declared him dead.
