New Delhi, Oct 1 (UNI) Prime Minister Narendra Modi today hailed the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh's (RSS) 100-year journey as a reflection of "enduring national consciousness" rising to meet the challenges of every era. "RSS works on the principle of nation-first, and its 100-year journey is an example of sacrifice, selfless service, nation-building, and discipline," the PM said here at an event after releasing a specially designed commemorative postage stamp and Rs 100 coin highlighting the RSS's contributions to the nation. The coin, featuring Bharat Mata in Varad Mudra alongside the national emblem, carries the Sangh's motto: "Rashtraya Swaha, Idam Rashtraya, Idam Na Mama." Modi noted this may be the first instance of Bharat Mata's image appearing on Indian currency.
