BATHINDA: Shae is turning out a new sensation in the music world with earthen looks. Paramjit Kaur but known as Param in the entertainment world, has come out with her first video song 'That Girl', which is going viral. In a week of its uploading the song has over 4.2million views and 3.20 lakh likes with the count increasing every hour. The track, whose lyrics have been penned by her and sung by her, goes "Ve main addi na patashe jaavan bhor di, gal chare passe hundi meri tor di, Ankh takdi na kise nu eh ghoordi, Meri chuppi bhi japdi doonge shor jahi" (I am breaking sugar candies with heel, there are talks all over of my walk, my eyes don't just look but stare, my silence feels like a deep noise). As Param is influenced by slain rapper Sidhu Moosewala, her style is being seen as Moosewala used to sing and act in his video albums. She also talks about weapons like loaded Gloc, .12 bore and dunali (double-barreled) as like Moosewala. She also takes solace to have been born in Malwa region of Punjab, saying it is unparalleled. After the song gone viral, 19 years old Param has gone away from public glare and only family talks about but her. Param is presently pursuing her undergraduate course at DM College, Moga but now concentrated on making singing her career. "Belonging to a poor daily wager family from Dunneke village in Moga, Param had started singing at the tender age. Though no one from our family was into singing but a couple of members from my wife's family were into singing for a small time. Slowly she devoted more time to watching videos and trying to practice singing. Nearly a year back, she formed a group of youngsters who were preparing reels" says father Surjit Singh speaking to TOI. Surjit Singh works as a daily wager with masons while wife Jaspal Kaur is also working at the home of zimidars (Jatt farmers), taking care of livestock and preparing cow dungs. After doing her matriculation from Dunneke village school, she joined a senior secondary school at Moga and subsequently DM College. She was highly influenced by Sidhu Moosewala and was into preparing reels after watching his video albums though she never met Moosewala, who was gunned down over three years ago. Before 'That Girl', she figured in a song by a known singer but as the video album was not prepared of that song, she got prominence from That Girl, which was uploaded on September 23. Param is second among four siblings with an elder sister married and two younger brothers into studies.
