Hyderabad: Former Hyderabad police commissioner C.V. Anand assumed charge as special chief secretary, home, at the Secretariat on Tuesday. Anand, a 1996-batch IPS officer of DG rank, previously served as Director General of the Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) and twice held the post of Hyderabad city police commissioner.
