New Delhi: Police have found disturbing evidence against self-styled godman Chaitanyananda Saraswati, alias Partha Sarathy, who stands accused of sexually harassing over a dozen women at his Delhi ashram. During the investigation, police have recovered incriminating chat logs from his mobile phone, which expose his predatory tactics and systematic efforts to lure women with various false promises. The police have also found that Chaitanyananda had saved numerous photos with female cabin crew members on his phone, alongside screenshots of social media profile pictures of multiple women, further detailing his alleged exploitation. During interrogation, the arrested Baba has been reportedly uncooperative, exhibiting no remorse for his actions and consistently providing evasive and untruthful responses. Sources indicate he only answers when strictly pressured and confronted with irrefutable evidence of his fraudulent activities. Chaitanyananda, who previously served as a director at the Sri Sharada Institute of Indian Management in Vasant Kunj, faces multiple accusations, including abusive language, lewd text messages to women, forced physical contact, and the alleged secret installation of cameras in the women's hostel. In response, at least 17 women students recorded their statements with the police, accusing him of harassing postgraduate management diploma students, particularly those in the economically weaker sections (EWS) category receiving scholarships. The management of the institute subsequently expelled Chaitanyananda upon being informed of these allegations. In connection with the case, police have also arrested Hari Singh Kopkoti, a 38-year-old close associate of the accused, who allegedly threatened the father of one of the victims to dissuade him from pursuing the case.
