29th Metro train of Corridor-1 arrives from Gujarat Plant | Kanpur News - The Times of India

Kanpur: The unloading of 29th and final metro train for Kanpur Metro's Corridor-1 (IIT-Naubasta) was successfully carried out at the Gurudev Chauraha depot on Monday. The state-of-the-art 40-tonne metro coach was carefully placed on the tracks with the help of special cranes. With this, the delivery of all 29 trains proposed for Corridor-1 was completed. These trains were manufactured at the Savli plant in Gujarat. The next phase will mark the arrival of 10 new trains for Corridor-2 (CSA-Barra-8).On the occasion, Sushil Kumar, Managing Director, UPMRC congratulated the team and said, "In total, 29 trains will serve Corridor-1, while both corridors combined will have 39 trains, each comprising three coaches. Once the corridor is extended up to Naubasta, the increased fleet will ensure a higher frequency of trains, making metro travel more seamless and convenient."
