New Delhi: After Friday prayers, a crowd gathered in support of "I Love Mohammad Saheb" in Bareilly, causing a massive uproar, after which the situation spiraled out of control. Police resorted to lathi-charge to control the crowd. Several people were injured. A case has been registered against Maulana Tauqeer Raza and 50 others have been detained under serious sections. CM Yogi Adityanath is personally monitoring the situation. The rioters vandalized the area and even clashed with the police. CM Yogi Adityanath has given instructions to teach the rioters a lesson. He said that such a lesson will be taught that future generations will think twice before rioting. The situation worsened after the crowd gathered in support of "I Love Mohammad Saheb." Addressing the Vikasit Vision-2 Conclave, CM Yogi Adityanath said that yesterday in Bareilly, a Maulana forgot who was in power in the state and thought he could disrupt the law and order at will.
