Nagpur: In response to high passenger demand between Puri in Odisha and Surat in Gujarat, Indian Railways has announced the introduction of a new weekly Amrit Bharat Express connecting Brahmapur in Odisha with Udhna (Surat) in Gujarat. The inaugural journey will be launched by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on September 27 from Brahmapur as a special service (Train No 09022).There is already a weekly (Thursday/Sunday) train No 16601/16602 Jogbani-Erode Amrit Bharat Express that travels via Nagpur.
