KALYAN: Vishal Gawli and his wife, Sakshi Gawli, accused in the rape and murder case of a 13-year-old girl in Kalyan, were produced in Kalyan's Special POCSO Court today. They were sent to police custody until January 2. The police produced the accused in Kalyan Court today amid tight security. In this case, the police first arrested Sakshi. Subsequently, the Thane crime branch team went to Buldhana to catch her absconding husband, Vishal. He was caught and produced in Kalyan today by the crime branch. While presenting him in court, the police requested the judge for custody of both accused, demanding they need to investigate how the accused kidnapped the girl, how Vishal killed her, and how he took the girl's body to Bapgaon in Bhiwandi and dumped it there. The court then granted them seven days of police custody until January 2. On Monday, the girl went out of her house to buy some food items, after which she did not return. The next day, on Tuesday, her body was found in the Bapgaon area of Bhiwandi.
