Pampore, Sep 25: The Central Sericultural Research & Training Institute (CSR&TI), Pampore, under the Central Silk Board, Ministry of Textiles, marked its participation in the Swachhata Hi Sewa (SHS) 2025 campaign today by conducting a "Nationwide Shramdaan: Ek Din, Ek Ghanta, Ek Saath" event. Under the leadership of Dr Sardar Singh, Director, CSR&TI, the Institute carried out a deep cleaning drive at the Cleanliness Target Unit (CTU) outside the Institute premises. Scientific, administrative, technical staff and Skilled Farm Workers dedicated an hour to sanitation activities, reflecting collective responsibility towards the environment.

Jaipur: Two workers died while five others are feared trapped after soil caved in during pipeline excavation work in Rajasthan's Bharatpur on Sunday morning, police said. According to officials, some labourers were filling a 10-foot-deep trench dug to lay a pipeline near Jangi ka Nagla village when the soil caved in. Twelve workers got trapped under the soil. NEW DELHI: EC on Thursday revised the rules relating to counting of postal ballots, making it mandatory for all postal ballot papers to be counted before the penultimate round of EVM/VVPATs counting is taken up.The new practice will be first implemented in Bihar where assembly polls are due in Nov.This restores the arrangement prior to May 2019, when EC had changed the guidelines to allow EVM counting to proceed regardless of postal ballot counting stage.
