Dehradun Cloudburst: A massive cloudburst in Dehradun's Sahastradhara on Monday night has caused large scale damage. Two to three major hotels and several shops in the main market have been damaged due to debris falling after the cloudburst. The incident has been reported from Karliguard area of Sahastradhara in Uttarakhand, which is a famous tourist spot of Dehradun. Due to this disaster, many shops were swept away by the strong current in the area, while two people are reported missing. No major loss of life or property has been confirmed so far. SDRF and NDRF teams reached the spot immediately and the local people were shifted to safe places at night itself. Heavy equipment including JCBs have been deployed on the spot for relief and rescue work and the rescue operation is still going on. The search for both the missing persons is being done on a war footing.
