Delhi BMW crash: According to the statement given by Kaur's son Navnoor Singh to PTI, the car - BMW X5 was driven by a girl. Eyewitnesses also told the police that the car was in fact being driven by a woman, and her husband was with her in the vehicle when the accident happened. Navjot Singh, Deputy Secretary in the Department of Economic Affairs under the Ministry of Finance, died on Sunday after his motorcycle was hit by a BMW car on Ring Road near Delhi Cantt metro station, the police said. Singh was on his bike with his wife, Sandeep Kaur, when the accident happened. She was badly injured and is currently hospitalised. BMW car crash in Delhi: Who is the suspect? BMW crash suspect drove victim to hospital allegedly owned by her family According to Kaur's son, the family of the woman who was driving the car, owns the Nulife Hospital in GTB Nagar, where Navjot and his wife were taken. Both she and her husband, who were in the car, had minor injuries and were also admitted there. He added that his parents were taken to the hospital in a delivery van, and when his mother regained consciousness, she found herself in the passenger seat and saw Navjot lying behind her. 'Despite her condition, she was kept in the lobby,' says Navjot Singh's son Navnoor said his mother was in a very serious condition when she reached the hospital, but instead of being given a room, she was kept in the lobby. Meanwhile, another patient with minor injuries, who arrived later, was allotted a room, a report by Times of India said quoting Navnoor. His mother was later shifted to another hospital. The woman who had been driving the BMW was also admitted at the same hospital. He said his mother luckily regained consciousness and asked the hospital staff to contact a family friend working at another hospital, who then informed him about her condition. Navnoor also kept asking the GTB Nagar hospital staff about the driver of the BMW, but it was only after around five hours that he found out she was admitted there too. The police have taken both the BMW and the delivery van in custody, and a team of experts has already examined the site where the accident happened. PTI reported that the Forensic Science Laboratory (FSL) team was also called to investigate.

New Delhi, Jun 6 (PTI) The Delhi government has rolled out guidelines for tree officers to enforce certain sections of the Delhi Preservation of Trees Act (DPTA), 1994, officials said.
