Hyderabad: A man was awarded 10 years of imprisonment by the Fast Track Special Judge for Trial And Disposal of Rape And POCSO Act Cases, Ranga Reddy district, after he was convicted for rape and kidnap of a girl. Cyberabad police said in 2020, under the Chandanagar police station limits, a car driver lured the girl on the pretext of friendship. On knowing that they are closely moving, her parents made girl stop attending school. Later, the accused took the survivor to a hotel, where he sexually abused her. On knowing about this, her parents lodged a complaint and the accused was arrested by the local police. After filing a chargesheet was filed, the court took up the trial and concluded that the accused abused the survivor.
