PTC Web Desk: India on Thursday strongly condemned recent remarks by Pakistan army chief General Asim Munir, accusing Islamabad of using anti-India rhetoric to divert attention from its internal crises. "We have seen a continuing pattern of reckless, war-mongering and hateful comments from Pakistani leadership. It is a well-known tactic to stir anti-India sentiment to mask their own failures," said Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) spokesperson Randhir Jaiswal. He cautioned that "any misadventure will have painful consequences, as demonstrated recently," referring to the military standoff in May when India retaliated to Pakistan's drone and missile strikes by targeting terrorist camps in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Kashmir. The MEA's sharp response came after Pakistan's foreign ministry defended Munir's controversial statement during his US visit, where he allegedly warned that Pakistan would "take half the world down" if confronted with an existential threat from India.
