Srinagar: The State Investigation Agency (SIA) on Tuesday carried out searches at 8 locations in Srinagar as part of its ongoing investigation into the killing of a Kashmiri Pandit woman 36 years ago. According to a statement, issued to news agency -- Kashmir News Observer (KNO), the searches have been carried into a case FIR No. 56/1990, registered at Police Station Nigeen. The case is now being investigated by the SIA Kashmir. The statement reads the case pertains to the killing of a Kashmiri Pandit woman, Sarla Bhat, who was a nurse at SKIMS Soura. She was brutally killed by terrorists 36 years ago," it adds.
