Social media platforms are brimming with posts from young people showing appreciation for their AI friends. A user Harsha tweeted, "Happy Friendship Day to my AI, who has always been there for me, who stood by me, and who has made a meaningful impact in my life without any judgment." User Shyam highlighted the importance of balancing technology with human relationships, stating, "In a tech-driven world, it's the genuine human connections that truly advance us. This Friendship Day, let's honour the relationships that extend beyond code and machinery, because even amid digital innovation, empathy remains our strongest tie." Not everyone shares the same sentiment. User Rohit Kumar expressed a different perspective on social media writing, "AI can converse. I witnessed some buyers last year. But this year, foot traffic has dropped significantly." While physical retailers are struggling, online businesses are flourishing.
