New Delhi, Aug 3: The Border Security Force (BSF) has launched an investigation after a drone bearing a "Made in China" label was discovered near the India-Bangladesh border in Tripura, The Assam Tribune reported. According to the newspaper, the lightweight drone, measuring 915 grams, was found by a young boy in a paddy field close to the BSF's Durgabari Border Outpost. The unmanned aerial vehicle, equipped with two high-resolution cameras, has raised concerns about potential surveillance or cross-border activity. BSF officials said the drone will first be handed over to the paramilitary force by Tripura Police, after which it will be sent to BSF headquarters in New Delhi for a detailed forensic and technical analysis. The aim, they said, is to determine its specifications, origin, possible flight path, and whether it had been used for any hostile or reconnaissance activity along the sensitive international border.
