Hyderabad: Surrogacy fraudster A. NAMRATHA reportedly offered a large sum of money to sperm donors arranged by her agents for illegal surrogacy at her clinic in Secunderabad and Visakhapatnam. During the interrogation on her first day in police custody on Friday, the Gopalapuram police reportedly collected the details of Namratha's regular activity and questioned her based on her call data, WhatsApp messages and other accused illegal activities. When she reportedly told them about her vast experience in medical practice, the police warned her against self-promotion during the questioning and asked her to explain the roles of absconding accused Kalyani, and S.S. Jayanth, who was arrested. However, Namratha remained silent for most questions, without giving answers. The police reportedly grilled Namratha on her surrogacy and IVF cases based on K sheets available at her hospital. Namratha had reportedly fabricated the details of patients using PhotoShop and AI technology for giving them to the complainant, who demanded DNA tests to confirm parentage of the infant, who was given to them as their biologically-related son. The police officers also reportedly questioned Namratha for collecting sums of money in the form of cash. The police would question her for the second day on Saturday.
