Bengaluru: Actress and former Lok Sabha MP Ramya has expressed shock over the recent allegations of mass burials and missing women in Dharmasthala, calling for a fair and transparent investigation into the matter. Taking to X, Ramya stated, "I'm quite shocked to hear about these incidents of mass burial and women missing at Dharmasthala. It's a place of worship and highly revered by the people of Karnataka. I hope there will be a fair investigation. We need to know the truth." Her statement comes amidst growing public outcry following a whistleblower's claims involving systematic abuse and cover-ups in the temple town. On Saturday, actor Prakash Raj urged Chief Minister Siddaramaiah to constitute a Special Investigation Team (SIT) to probe the allegations and take strict action against any officials found to have derailed the process so far. In response, CM Siddaramaiah stated on Friday that the police investigation is underway and that further action, including the formation of an SIT, will be considered based on the findings.
