KISHTWAR: A 35-year-old woman died after being struck by a bullet accidentally fired by a Village Defence Guard (VDG) member in Jammu and Kashmir's Kishtwar district late Friday night."Pushpa Devi was outside her house attending to daily chores in Aragam village in Singhpura-Chatroo area when she was fatally struck by a bullet. The VDG member has been taken into custody," police said.Authorities have launched an investigation to determine the exact circumstances that led to the firing.
New Delhi, July 19 (PTI) The Regional Medical Research Centre in Bhubaneswar, under the Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR), has developed an advanced malaria vaccine that can prevent plasmodium falciparum infection in individuals and minimise community transmission.
