Mumbai: A school in Kandivali West received a threatening email on Friday, adding to the ongoing wave of threats targeting educational institutions across the city. Upon receiving the alert, Mumbai Police, along with the bomb disposal squad and demolition team, conducted a thorough search of the school premises. However, nothing suspicious was found during the operation. Initial investigation has revealed that the threatening email originated from outside Mumbai, raising suspicions of mischief. Both the local police and the crime branch are jointly probing the case, as reported by Loksatta. This incident is part of a disturbing pattern over the past two months, where 11 international schools and educational institutions in Mumbai, including one in Dombivli and another in Powai, have received similar threatening emails. So far, five official cases have been registered in connection with these threats.
