Srinagar, July 17: Dubai is set to welcome the world's tallest hotel later this year with the launch of the Ciel Dubai Marina. Soaring over 1,197 feet (365 meters), the iconic tower will surpass the current record-holder, Gevora Hotel, which stands at 1,169 feet (356 meters), according to Newsweek. Developed by The First Group and designed by the renowned NORR Group, Ciel will feature 82 floors and around 1,004 rooms, including 147 suites. The hotel aims to redefine luxury hospitality with its cutting-edge design and skyline-defining architecture. The hotel is currently in various phases of construction. While the foyer is 65 per cent complete, portions of the eating areas are at 50 per cent. The developer's April-May updates indicate the guest room furniture installation is reportedly 45 per cent complete, and the leisure deck's fit-out is at 40 per cent. The hotel's imposing communal atrium area will have "vertically stacked landscaped and naturally ventilated terraces," reaching a height of around 984 feet, according to The First Group. The project's contractor, China Railway 18th Bureau Group (CR18BG), confirmed that the tower will also include standout features such as a 12-story "atrium sky garden," a "sky restaurant" at 1,158 feet, and the highest infinity pool in the world, perched 1,004 feet above ground.
