The three-match ODI series is crucial for the team leading into the World Cup, which is just two months away. With only three matches left against Australia at home in September, just before the mega event, this series is pretty much the last opportunity for the team management to decide their combinations. Pratika Rawal is likely to be included in the ODI playing XI after not being part of the T20I set-up. She had a brilliant opening partnership with Smriti Mandhana, scoring 968 runs in 11 matches with four 100-run stands. The Indian head coach, Amol Muzumdar said that Shafali is still in the plans for the ODI World Cup, after her brilliant performance in the T20I series.
