Bengaluru: Three Nigerian women were arrested and 7kg and 2kg of premium methamphetamine were seized at Kempegowda bus terminal (Majestic) and Kempegowda International Airport, respectively, during a three-day operation.Narcotics Control Bureau said in a press release, "The initial seizure involved 7kg of methamphetamine, which was transported from Delhi to Bengaluru through Mumbai by one of the accused women. She travelled with a child as a strategy to appear inconspicuous. Subsequently, authorities arrested another African woman who was responsible for arranging the illegal substances. The subsequent operation yielded 2kg of methamphetamine. The substance originated from Delhi, was packaged in west Delhi and hidden in the luggage of an African woman travelling to Bengaluru on a domestic flight. Further investigation revealed the suspects entered India through student and tourist visas. After their expiry, they created a false identity using a counterfeit passport with different nationality details to avoid detection by law-enforcement agencies."
