LUCKNOW: Staying the arrest of cricketer Yash Dayal in a sexual harassment case, the Allahabad High Court said that no one could be fooled for five years. "You could have been fooled for a day, 2 days, 3 days...but 5 years...you are into a relationship for 5 years...one can't be fooled for 5 years," observed the bench orally while hearing the case. The cricketer, who is part of Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB), had filed a petition against the FIR of sexual harassment registered against him by a woman in Ghaziabad recently. On Tuesday, the division bench, comprising Justice Siddharth Verma and Anil Kumar, heard the case. The court had issued notice to Yash Dayal's opposing party seeking a response. A woman had accused the cricketer of sexual exploitation by promising her marriage. According to the complainant, both met about five years ago. An FIR was registered against Dayal, 27, on July 6, 2025, at Indirapuram Police Station in Ghaziabad under Section 69 of BNS (sexual relations by deception). Meanwhile, Yash Dayal's lawyer, Gaurav Tripathi, said that the cricketer had challenged the FIR of sexual harassment in court. "I had filed the petition. The court has stayed the arrest.
