Vijay Raaz's Udaipur Files: Kanhaiya Lal Tailor Murder has landed in legal trouble. First, the Delhi High Court put a stay on the film's release. Now, Arshad Madani, President of Jamiat Ulama-i-Hind, has revealed that they have filed a petition with the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting to completely ban the release of Vijay Raaz starrer. Arshad Madani took to his X account and wrote, "On behalf of Jamiat Ulema-e-Hind, a petition has been filed with the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting to ban the screening of the film Udaipur Files. This petition was filed in compliance with a directive from the Delhi High Court, which had imposed a temporary ban on the film's release and advised reconsideration of the certificate issued by the Censor Board." "The petition states that the film is based on hatred, may promote communal tension in society, and could damage the country's image at the international level. The Ministry has been directed to decide on this petition within a week. It is likely that the Ministry may hold a hearing on this petition in the coming days," he further added.
