New Delhi/Hyderabad, July 14 (Maxim News): The Supreme Court of India on Monday dismissed a plea challenging the latest five-year extension of the ban on the Students Islamic Movement of India (SIMI), reaffirming the central government's decision under the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act (UAPA). During the hearing, the petitioner's counsel argued that SIMI has been banned since 2001, and the organization is no longer active.
