BHUBANESWAR: Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi visited AIIMS-Bhubaneswar and enquired about the health condition of Soumyashri Bisi, a 20-year-old student of Fakir Mohan (Autonomous) College, who is undergoing treatment for severe burn injuries. After speaking with the doctors treating the girl, the Chief Minister stated that a team of medical experts would be formed to hold a virtual consultation with specialists from AIIMS Delhi to ensure the best possible treatment is provided. Arriving directly at the AIIMS hospital from Delhi, Majhi said, "The girl's critical condition does not currently permit her to be airlifted to AIIMS Delhi. The next 24 hours are crucial. A team of doctors is treating her, and they will consult with AIIMS Delhi experts virtually to guide further treatment. The government is ready to provide full support to the girl and her family."
Pipili: A road accident on the Pipili bypass claimed the lives of three young women Saturday. The deceased were students of Utkal Sangeet Mahavidyalaya and residents of Old Town in Bhubaneswar.
