Trailer of Siddhant Chaturvedi-Tripti Dimri's 'Dhadak 2' unveiled | Central India's Premier English Daily

Mumbai, July 12 (UNI) The trailer for 'Dhadak 2', featuring Siddhant Chaturvedi and Tripti Dimri in the lead roles, was released today, offering a powerful glimpse into a love story torn apart by caste prejudice and societal judgement. A thematic successor to the 2018 film 'Dhadak', which featured Janhvi Kapoor and Ishaan Khattar and won hearts with its soulful portrayal of young love, 'Dhadak 2' delves deeper into the complexities of love trapped within rigid societal structures. The trailer introduces us to Nilesh (Siddhant Chaturvedi) and Vidhi (Tripti Dimri), two young souls who cross paths in college. Soon their friendship turns into love. However, the romance is soon marred by the stark realities of caste division. Everything is fine in the beginning, but as soon as Vidhi's family learns about Nilesh, there is a storm. The family does not like Nidhi of a higher caste being with a boy of a lower caste. They beat up Nilesh, insult him and his family. They throw mud at him. The family tries their best to make Vidhi stay away from Nilesh, but she is not ready to leave him. 'Dhadak 2' stars actors like Tripti Dimri, Siddhant Chaturvedi, Saurabh Sachdev, Manjiri Pupala, Vipin Sharma, Dishank Arora in lead roles and is directed by Shazia Iqbal. It is set for a theatrical release on August 1.
