Pune: A visit to one of the city's most iconic eateries took a disturbing turn for a couple on Thursday afternoon when a shard of glass was discovered in a plate of bun maska. The incident sparked social media outrage and prompted a response from the state's food safety authority."We have not received any complaint regarding the incident from anyone, but since the video is trending, we will take necessary steps and investigate the issue," said Suresh Annapure, joint commissioner, Food and Drug Administration (FDA), Maharashtra.After a team of officials visited the cafe on Friday afternoon for an investigation, FDA food safety officer Santosh Sawant told TOI: "Samples of both the butter and the buns have been collected separately and sent for laboratory testing on Friday."
