Chandigarh: A heated war of words between finance minister Harpal Singh Cheema and leader of opposition Partap Singh Bajwa plunged the second day of a special Punjab assembly session into chaos, as accusations over doctored videos, gangster ties, and political collusion took centre stage.Tempers flared when Cheema addressed an FIR (first-information report) lodged against him and other Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) bigwigs over an allegedly manipulated video that purportedly showed that Bajwa supported former Shiromani Akali Dal minister Bikramjit Singh Majithia. The FIR, filed by Chandigarh Police on Bajwa's complaint, sparked a fiery exchange on the assembly floor.Cheema lashed out, accusing the Congress of fostering gangsterism during its rule. "Wasn't it your govt that brought Mukhtar Ansari to Punjab?" he asked. "You sheltered his family and encouraged the criminalisation of youth. Our govt formed the Anti-Gangster Task Force to reverse that." He further alleged that Bajwa was now aligned with the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP).
