CEE Kerala Publishes Revised KEAM 2025 Ranks List After HC Order; Joshua Jacob Thomas Tops In Engineering

Kerala KEAM Rank List 2025: Kerala Commissioner for Entrance Examinations (CEE) has released a new rank list for KEAM 2025 admissions after the Kerala High Court ordered the recent alterations in the ranking process to be annulled. Court Quashes New Mark Consolidation Formula The revision follows the Kerala High Court's strike down of the amendment to clause 9.7.4.(b) of the KEAM prospectus. The clause had incorporated a new formula for mark consolidation, which had caused widespread panic, particularly among students from the CBSE board. The court favoured Hana Fathima, a CBSE student who had moved a petition against the last-minute revision of the ranking criteria. The High Court noted that such a significant change at the last stage of admission was not justified and fair. Revised Rank List Now Live The revised KEAM 2025 rank list is now available on the official candidate portal: cee.kerala.gov.in. As per the latest update: -86,549 candidates appeared for the Engineering entrance exam. -76,230 students qualified. -67,505 candidates have been brought under the revised rank list. For Pharmacy: -Out of 33,425 candidates, 27,841 have been brought under the revised rank list. Engineering and Pharmacy Toppers In the case of Engineering, the first three rank holders all obtained an impressive 588.5773 out of 600: For Pharmacy, the top scorers achieved a perfect 290 out of 300: Background: Controversy Over Mark Consolidation The Kerala government initially published KEAM 2025 results using a new mark consolidation formula, claiming it addressed long-standing concerns from state syllabus students. However, the move triggered objections from students in other educational boards, primarily CBSE. After the court ruling, the previous amendment was revoked, and the rankings were reworked according to the initial methodology. What's Next? Candidates are requested to log in to the KEAM candidate portal to see their revised rank and get ready for the subsequent phases of the counselling and seat allotment process.
