Hyderabad: The decomposed body of an unidentified man, believed to be in his late 30s, was found in the Pochammakunta in Gachibowli, on Thursday morning. The body was first spotted by the security staff of a company during a routine patrol around 8.30 am. Pentala Anil Kumar, a senior executive at the company, was informed by security officer Goreta Suresh Babu and alerted the Gachibowli police. Assistant sub-inspector (ASI) Shanker K. and his team visited the spot, retrieved the body from the lake, and began a preliminary investigation. According to ASI Shanker, the man is suspected to have died two to three days ago. His body was in an advanced stage of decomposition. The body was clad in an underwear and had several tattoos: the word 'Dad' on his left hand, and a dragon symbol on his right hand as well as the letters 'R' and 'SK'. In addition, a small white doll and a family photo were found near the body. "There were no visible injuries, and it doesn't appear to be a case of suicide or murder," the officer said. He added that the man may have entered the lake area either to swim or for some other reason, possibly accessing it by jumping over a nearby wall. However, the exact reason he entered the lake remains unclear. There is no CCTV coverage near the lake, which spans about 6 to 8 acres. Police have contacted nearby stations to check for any missing person reports but have not received any matches so far. The body has been shifted to Osmania General Hospital for post-mortem examination. "Once the report comes, we might get more clarity," Speaking with Deccan Chronicle ASI Shanker said. If no one comes forward to claim the body within three days, further steps will be taken as per procedure. A case has been filed, and police are investigating to find out who the person is and the reason for the death. Techie Dies by Suicide at KPHB Hyderabad: A software employee died allegedly by suicide at his residence in KPHB, on Tuesday night, police said on Thursday. The deceased, V. Chaitanya, 35, was working as a software employee for a company located in Gachibowli. The police said that they learnt from his family that he was looking for a better job, but was unable to find one. They suspect that could have compelled him to take the extreme step. A case was registered and further investigation is underway. A postmortem examination of the body was conducted at the Gandhi mortuary and it was later handed over to the family. Hyderabad: An eight-year-old boy succumbed to his injuries while undergoing treatment after being bitten by a stray dog on Tuesday evening. The incident came to light on Thursday. Neredmet inspector P. Sandeep Kumar said the victim was a resident of Keshavnagar in Neredmet, was studying in third grade and was from a business family. His father lodged a complaint with the Neredmet police, stating that the minor was playing in front of their house when a stray dog bit him on his left thigh. The family shifted the boy to Gandhi Hospital for treatment, where he was administered an injection. Soon after, he started to complain of dizziness and while being treated, succumbed. His body was later shifted to the mortuary for a postmortem examination (PME) and the hospital informed the police about the incident. Following this, the police reached out to the family for a complaint. Speaking of the actual cause of the death, an official from Neredmet police station said that they are awaiting the PME reports to ascertain whether a faulty, expired injection was administered, or whether it was the dog bite. The GHMC veterinary department was informed, who took the stray dog away from the area. A case was registered under Section 194 of the BNSS and further investigation into the incident is underway. Victim of Online Job Fraud Dies by Suicide Hyderabad: A 30-year-old woman died allegedly by suicide at her residence in Tulasinagar after reportedly losing money in an online work-from-home scam and a betting app. The incident occurred on Tuesday night, but came to light on Thursday. According to KPHB inspector S. Rajasekhar Reddy, Ganga Anusha, the victim, is survived by her husband of five years, Koye Venkanna Babu, a software engineer working in Hitec City, and a four-year-old son. The couple had been residing in Hyderabad in connection with his job. Around 10.30 pm on July 8, Anusha's father, B. Jogaiah, a businessman from West Godavari district, received a call from his son-in-law informing him of her death. The police reached the spot and shifted the body to Gandhi mortuary for postmortem examination. Preliminary investigation revealed that Anusha had recently lost money in an online fraud and a betting app, though she had not revealed anything about it to anyone. She is suspected to have taken the extreme step around 8 pm, before her husband returned from work. Police said that the couple's four-year-old son, who received no response when he knocked on the door of the room, climbed on to a stool and unlatched the door and found his mother unresponsive. In his complaint, Jogaiah stated that Anusha had taken up an online work-from-home assignment, where she was initially credited money for completing tasks. Later, after investing around '30,000, the fraudsters started finding fault with her work and began demanding additional payments for corrections. Investigators said Anusha had also accessed betting platforms via Telegram and had mortgaged gold jewellery to invest. "She had taken a loan of '1.5 lakh from her husband's colleagues. Following her losses, she struggled with the pressure of repayment and the fear of embarrassment," the Inspector said. Police said data retrieved from her mobile phone showed the transactions began around July 1. Though she had not spoken about it to her family, she mentioned the losses in a suicide note recovered from the scene. A case has been registered and further investigation is underway.
