Chandrapur: Collector of Chandrapur district Vinay Gowda GC was felicitated at a national-level District Mineral Foundation (DMF) workshop organised by the Ministry of Mines in New Delhi, in recognition of the district's innovative carpet manufacturing project.The one-day workshop focused on enhancing the effectiveness of DMF initiatives and accelerating the implementation of the Pradhan Mantri Khanij Kshetra Kalyan Yojana (PMKKKY). A key highlight was a detailed discussion on 'Transparency and Compliance', where officials explored common gaps in DMF execution and recommended measures to strengthen transparency through short and long-term strategies.The workshop facilitated knowledge exchange on successful models from various states, offering valuable insights for future policymaking and more people-centric DMF interventions.Chandrapur's carpet-making project, implemented through the Women's Economic Development Corporation, was showcased and drew significant attention. The initiative is empowering local women by generating sustainable employment and promoting economic self-reliance.
