Pune, July 10 (UNI) The Pune Police have intensified their crackdown on unauthorised spas across the city and raided 13 spa centres located in areas such as Viman Nagar, Kalyani Nagar, Kharadi, and Baner. Police have issued strict warnings to spa owners, cautioning them against engaging in any activities beyond permitted spa services. "If anything 'extra' is found beyond spa operations, be ready to face legal consequences," the police warned. As part of their action, 18 women were rescued including 10 foreign nationals, from Baner and airport areas. The ongoing operation is part of a broader initiative to curb illegal activities and ensure that wellness centers operate strictly within legal and professional boundaries, said police today. Pune: The Pune police have decided to seal four spas raided over the last five days in Vimannagar, Baner and Sinhagad Road areas. Twenty three women were rescued in the operation.Pune police commissioner Amitesh Kumar said, "Operators run flesh trade rackets under the guise of spas. Thus, we have decided to seal the premises."
