Patna: The Indian Institute of Technology Patna (IIT-P) on Thursday got a new state-of-the-art central library on its campus for its scholars and faculties. In his inaugural address, IIT-P director T N Singh said that the central library would serve as a cornerstone in the institute's pursuit of academic and research distinction. He highlighted its role not only as a repository of knowledge, but also as a symbol of innovation, inquiry, and intellectual growth. He reiterated the institute's commitment to developing the library into one of the finest academic libraries in the country.The facility currently houses 24,572 printed books and offers access to more than 75,000 electronic resources. To support tech-enabled learning, a dedicated digital library with 150 computer terminals has been established. The facility can accommodate up to 650 students at a time, providing a conducive environment for academic pursuits and research.
