Lucknow: Under the 'Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam 2.0' campaign, institutions across Lucknow undertook largescale plantation drives to promote environmental awareness and sustainability. Lucknow University planted 300 saplings on its main and second campuses on Wednesday, featuring fruit-bearing, ornamental and medicinal species like mango, amla, lemon, guava, palms, amaltas, kachnar, Ashok, champa, tulsi and aloe vera, with plans to add 1000 more by July end.LU vice-chancellor Alok Kumar Rai said: "This campaign is about more than just planting saplings it is about building a culture of environmental responsibility.
