The tragic incident occurred today claimed the lives of 11 people. A video has surfaced from the site, in which a mother is seen crying helplessly in pain for her son who reportedly died in the tragic incident. The tragic accident happened when a part of the Gambhira bridge, located near Padra town, suddenly collapsed into the Mahisagar river. At the time of the incident, four vehicles including, two trucks, a Bolero SUV and a pickup van, were crossing the bridge. The incident occurred during busy morning hours, making the tragedy even worse. Many videos related to the incident have surfaced on social media, highlighting the damages after the collapse. However, a heart-wrenching video surfaced on social media which brings tears to the eyes of the watcher. A woman is seen in the river crying and screaming in pain. The bridge, built in 1986, was an important shortcut for people travelling between South Gujarat and Saurashtra. With its sudden collapse, people will now have to take a longer route via Vasad.
