Hyderabad, July 11: Chilkur Balaji temple priest and Temples Protection Movement (TPM) convenor CS Rangarajan has strongly condemned the recent attack on the Executive Officer of Sri Sitaramachandra Swamy Temple, Bhadrachalam. The officer was allegedly assaulted after raising objections to illegal constructions on temple-owned lands in Purushothapatnam, Andhra Pradesh. "The lands of Sri Bhadrachala Ramulavaru are not just property, they carry deep spiritual and historical value for crores of devotees across the Telugu-speaking states. It is distressing to see temple officials being threatened and attacked for simply doing their duty," he said. The Bhadrachalam temple, one of the most revered temples in South India, owns several acres of land in Purushothapatnam, located across the border in Andhra Pradesh.
