Hyderabad: BRS working president K.T. Rama Rao has sharply criticised the Congress-led Telangana government over the ongoing fertilizer shortage in the state, particularly urea. Alleging rampant black marketing, he demanded an immediate inquiry into the issue and questioned the government's accountability. Taking to social media platform X, KTR raised concerns over the spike in urea prices. "Why has the price of a urea bag, which should be available at ₹266.50 under subsidy, increased to ₹325? The state government must provide answers to the farmers and the public," he said. He also questioned the artificial scarcity, asking who was creating the shortage and who was operating the black market behind the scenes. Despite making Aadhaar mandatory, he added, farmers are unable to receive even a single bag of urea, highlighting administrative failure.
